E- content

 As part of B.Ed. curriculum, we have e-content work to be done in semester 3. I chose the grammar topic question tag. I did the content using Powerpoint and also added voice to it. In the video, I explained what is question tag and the rules of question tags and its examples.  E- content or e- learning material is the material that is presented electronically. Teaching Practice : Week 9

 The last week of teaching practice consisted of doing various awareness programs given by teacher educators based on the papers of semester 3. We conducted conscientization programs on Global warming and mobile addiction.  Several simple programmes were conducted within the stipulated time. On the last week, I conducted achievement test on the portions The sower, The Light on the Hills and Rosa Parks' Sat Still. I conducted prognostic test on the topic Regular and Irregular verbs. Most of the students don't have an idea of past tense and past participle.  Alfariz of 8B scored the highest mark in the testpaper. I gave the corrected papers to the students and collected it back.  In the last lesson plan, I showed my innovative work on The Village Blacksmith and students were so interested to see it. On the last day, we distributed sweets to the students and also have prizes to the top scorers of good marks.

ICT Lesson - Rosa Parks' Sat Still

 During the teaching practice, it is prescribed that atleast one of the forty lesson plans should be ICT based one. I selected the introductory lesson of Rosa Parks' Sat Still as ICT lesson plan.  For that, I used PowerPoint to display pictures and information related to it.  Using ICT helped the students to be attentive and engaging throughout. They responded well to the questions asked and they were eager to move on the next slide.  During the step of link talk I showed some pictures of well known activists and then asked the students to identify them. Later on, I showed the video of Gandhiji's train incident which is much related to the lesson. Students got good relation to the chapter to be taught.

Teaching practice : Week 8

 The 8th week of teaching practice was the week without any classes. On the 14th and 15th of October, we conducted the youth festival. Students participated in several items like chendamelam, classical music, mime, patriotic song, bharatanatyam, mohiniyattam etc. We watched the events with great enthusiasm. In the noon time, we went for noon feed duty and also helped science teachers to write the magazine Bhakshyashastram.  On 16 th of October, there was sub district science exhibition registration. It was followed by two days of exhibition. The first day exhibition was of science and maths. The next day consisted of work experience, social science etc. On both days we did coupon giving duty.

Teaching Practice : Week 7

 The week 7 of teaching practice started with the announcement of youth festival and sub district science exhibition. During this week, we had no afternoon classes since the students were practicing for various events for the youth festival. We managed to take classes during the morning session itself.  I wrote charts regarding the events in day 1 and day 2 of youth festival. We named the youth festival Shankoli which means the 'voice of the shell'. We pasted the charts on the notice board. The program coordinators thanked us for writing the events in the chart. We took some photos too.  

Digital Album

 As part of B.Ed curriculum a digital album work related to music has been assigned by teacher educator.I chose the topic God's of Music from various mythologies.I selected the topic because it seems interesting to know more about god's of music and their significance.

Teaching Practice : Week 6

 The week 6 of teaching practice began with the special assembly conducted by the teacher trainees on October 1st. The assembly was conducted in relation to Gandhi Jayanthi. We prepared several charts about Gandhiji and prepared students for the assembly. On October 3rd, general teacher educator Shiny Prathap came to observe my class. It was an activity lesson plan and teacher gave good review and positive suggestions.
