Video Script - 'Horegallu'

Image
As part of B.Ed. curriculum, a video script is prescribed for the student teachers. Preparing a script enables us to communicate the message in a crisp and clear way. Script is considered the skeleton of any video. A script allows to plan and design the overall structure of the educational video. For this process, our teacher educator divided the students into two groups.  Our group consisted of 7 members and we decided to adopt the short story 'Horegallu' written by Sudha Murty. The first step was to decide the location and the scenes we could do within our limitations. We planned a proper framework and moved on to the script work. We assigned roles to each one and made the list of costumes and properties needed for the same. The whole shooting was shot using an iphone. The script consisted of 3 scenes. Altogether, the experience of script writing and shooting provided us with new insights, knowledge and experiments and also the editing process made us more aware of the tech...

Socially Useful Productive Work

Image
Socially Useful Productive Work is a purposive productive work and services related to the needs of the community, which will be proved meaningful to the learner. It was introduced in 1978, by the Ministry of Education to promote Gandhian values and educational ideas of Mahatma Gandhi. In addition to developing individual skills, SUPW helps in developing among the students the habit to work as a community. As part of B.Ed. curriculum, SUPW is regarded as an important work and all the student teachers prepared their various works. As part of SUPW, I made four different flower pots using plastic bottles of soft drinks, soda etc. The reason why I chose plastic bottles is because it takes upto atleast 1000 years for every single water bottle to decompose. 80% of the plastic water bottles end up in landfills. There are some shocking truths behind the accumulation of plastic bottles. It is really impossible for us to stop using plastic bottles, but the only way is to reduce the use by recycl...
