Teaching Practice Phase 2 Week 4

 The main event of this week was the school tour of 10th standard students to Munnar and Wonder la. The classes went so well because the students were so active and interested to know the rest of the story. Students were eager to know what happened to the nightingale. The students worried about the sacrifice she has done for the young student. They responded well to the picture story. I think showing showing the picture story is really effective in transacting the story and also helpful for conducting the class without much boredom. The use of good marks also acts as great reinforcement. On 27th November, I took Advance Organizer model on the topic pronouns. The teacher educator came for observation. I used the strategy of moving from known to unknown which the teacher educator specially mentioned. Teaching Practice Phase 2 Week 3

I took the lesson "The Nightingale and the Rose" during the third week also, since it was a lengthy chapter. I introduced entry activities that can enrich the students' vocabulary and grammatical knowledge. I explained the difference between 'advise' and 'advice'. I concluded the class using the picture story. Students were so thrilled to see the next pages of picture story book. On 21st November, I got 2 hours and I planned to give notes during one hour. I gave different entry activities like identifying the names of flowers. On 22nd November, I conducted diagnostic test during the third hour, on the topic Adjectives. Our optional teacher educator Mr. Nadeem Surfid sir came for observation. The class began with entry activity of introducing a new word 'Angeliferous'. The link talk was done through flowchart. Teaching Practice Phase 2 Week 2

 The week 2 of teaching practice went well with the lesson "The Nightingale and the Rose". I noticed that the students were enjoying the story because of the love theme. One of the activity given was to classify the instruments into Wind, percussion and stringed. Students were so interested to stick the names. They enjoy sticking the answers rather than writing. Inorder to instill a spirit a competition among the students. I divided the class into two and asked to name it. They named the groups as CRAZY BOYS and LORD OF DARKNESS. I prepared the charts and sticked stars for those who preformed well in the activities.  On 13th November, Aswathy maam came for observing my class. Teacher gave good reviews and also appreciated me for providing the entry activity for vocabulary enrichment. Teaching Practice : Phase 2

 The second phase of teaching practice began on 6th of November, 2024 after a short gap of two weeks. We got the same school for this phase also. I prepared 3 lesson plans before the commencement of classes.  We were so thrilled to go to the same school after a short break. On the first day itself I completed the first lesson plan on the lesson 'First Showers'. Students were so excited to see the model of the seasons. I completed the poem on the next day and moved on the next lesson The Nightingale and the Rose. It was an ICT lesson plan and the students were so excited to see the videos and pictures. Students seemed so active to see images and videos. They understood about the soothing power of nature. The video of nightingale singing made them realize how sweet the voice of nightingale is. Innovative Work

As part of B.Ed. curriculum, we have an innovative work to be done on our optional paper. I did the model for the lesson The Village Blacksmith. I did that model because there are many new words to be understood and also it is comparatively easy to be picturised.  I tried to include all the words mentioned in the poem. The words like anvil, bellow, sledge, flaming forge were included in the model. It was easy for me to teach those instruments using the model.
