As part of B.Ed. curriculum, practicum work is prescribed in the second semester in the paper Techno pedagogic Content Knowledge. Practicum work can be defined as the practical application of knowledge in an area of study.  The topic I got for the study was impact of language games on vocabulary enrichment among secondary school students. Language games usage among secondary school students is a controversial issue among educators and parents. Teaching Practice : Week 2

The week 2 of teaching practice consisted of only three days because of the public holidays like Sree Narayana Guru Jayanthi, Sree Krishna Jayanthi and Ayyankali Jayanthi. Since the number of working days were less I took substitution periods and completed almost 6 lesson plans. I completed the lesson 'The Little Round Red House' and started with the activities of the same. As per the instructions given by the concerned teacher, I started with the activities of the lesson 'The Shipwrecked Sailor'. The week was a little hectic one due to lots of substitution periods as there was DEO visit. We were given the complete charge of maintaining discipline both inside and outside the class. Students are busy with the upcoming Onam exams which is scheduled to begin on 3rd of September. The HM mentioned that most probably we would be given exam duties. I started preparing for the next set of lesson plans that are to be taken after the Onam vacation.
