Teaching Practice : Week 5

 After Onam vacation, classes commenced on 23rd of September. We had a lot of works to do as part of our papers. The Teacher Educator divided us into various groups and gave us topics for practical and conscientization. My group did practical work on the topic Communication skills. I have given an idea of the process of communication and tips to be a good communicator. We planned a small activity for the students. The activity was to talk about a topic from a list of topics given. Five students participated and we selected three of them. Later we distributes the prizes. The other team also did a program on creative thinking. 








There was an awareness class program called Swachatha hi Seva by Swach Bharath Mission. Students of 8th , 9th and 10th were taken for this awareness class.






That was a good awareness class on the harmful effects of using plastic and the ways to reduce it. They provided waste baskets to school and instructed students to reduce the plastic usage. There was also another awareness program on drug abuse conducted by Vimukthi mission. Students of 9th and 10th were taken for that class. Several police officers interacted with the students and conveyed information regarding the misuse of drugs among school students.



On Friday, our teacher educator Mr. Nadeem Surfid N came to observe my class and gave good reviews and also provided suggestions to improve.

 On 4th of December, I noticed that the school stage is being decorated using stars. Soon teachers told that there is assembly. After the prayer, the Principal of VHSS section announced the venture of plus one students- the making of Christmas star by the vocational students solar LED technician course. The Principal handed the star to the Principal of HS section. The innovative model was prepared for the topic adverbs indicating the kinds of adverbs including the kinds of adverbs including adverbs of manner, frequency, relative adverbs etc. I just want to exhibit the types using an attractive means. I prepared the aid using multiwood and colour papers.  Presenting the innovative aid  I conducted achievement test and 21 students wrote the test. Innovative lesson

As part of B.Ed. curriculum, an innovative work has been prepared for the second teaching phase.  The innovative model was prepared for the topic adverbs indicating the kinds of adverbs including the kinds of adverbs including adverbs of manner, frequency, relative adverbs etc. I just want to exhibit the types using an attractive means. I prepared the aid using multiwood and colour papers.  Presenting the innovative aid The students were so interested to read and understand the types of adverbs. I asked them to rotate it and read aloud.

Teaching Practice Phase 2 Week 4

 The main event of this week was the school tour of 10th standard students to Munnar and Wonder la. The classes went so well because the students were so active and interested to know the rest of the story. Students were eager to know what happened to the nightingale. The students worried about the sacrifice she has done for the young student. They responded well to the picture story. I think showing showing the picture story is really effective in transacting the story and also helpful for conducting the class without much boredom. The use of good marks also acts as great reinforcement. On 27th November, I took Advance Organizer model on the topic pronouns. The teacher educator came for observation. I used the strategy of moving from known to unknown which the teacher educator specially mentioned.
